Beginning this fall, Tudor Oaks Senior Living Community will host a Dementia Support Group for families of those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The group will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in the Olive Wood Theater (with the exception of November 8).
The first session of the Dementia Support Group will begin with the presentation “Tackling the Difficult Conversations about Dementia and Alzheimer’s” on September 13, 2016, at 6:30 pm in the Tudor Oaks Olive Wood Theater. Caregivers and their families are invited to come and learn creative ways to discuss and work through this difficult situation.
The program will be presented by RN Allyson Perkins from Care Right Senior Services. Allyson has over 20 years in the medical field and is known for her ability to help bring clarity and solutions to those working with Dementia family members and patients.
The presentation is free and open to the public. RSVPs to Chaplain Michelle Peterson at Tudor Oaks Senior Living Community are appreciated but not required 414-529-0100.
